<h2>Garson Fischer: The fairness, integrity, and experience we need on the bench.</h2><img src="https://run.imgix.net/f6747ac2-67f5-406f-8107-322cc15c7b3f/f6f7ab2f-e936-4118-a915-e8487b8caa60/f6f7ab2f-e936-4118-a915-e8487b8caa60.jpeg?ixlib=js-3.8.0&amp;bri=0&amp;con=0&amp;sat=0&amp;high=0&amp;shad=0&amp;usm=0&amp;rect=0%2C434%2C1529%2C1402&amp;w=1500" alt="" caption="" align="left" alignwidth="40" tiltdirection="left" variant="framed"><h3>Garson Fischer has served as an Assistant Attorney General for twenty years, where he has worked to promote fairness in our justice system and been a strong voice for victims of crime and the rule of law.</h3>During that time, Garson has briefed and argued hundreds of cases before state and federal courts, including the U.S. and Illinois Supreme Courts, winning victories that have upheld Illinois's gun laws against 2nd amendment&nbsp;challenges, kept women safe from domestic violence, cyberstalking and revenge porn, and protected kids from abuse, artificial intelligence deception, and online child pornography. His work and leadership role as Deputy Chief of Criminal Appeals has earned him the respect of jurists, attorneys, and&nbsp;the people he represents.Fischer attended Wesleyan University, holds a graduate degree from Northwestern University, and studied law at Georgetown University in Washington DC, where he met his wife, then a public-school teacher.<h4>Born and raised in Chicago, Garson and Melissa are raising their two kids in the same Lakeview community and school where he grew up.</h4> With the integrity of our courts under political attack, Garson Fischer is running for the 8th&nbsp;Subcircuit to ensure we have experienced, fair, and committed judges on the bench who will give everyone a fair shake and equal access to justice.
